Water Buffalos in Suburban Ahmedabad, India

The first few years of my life – toddlerhood was great and then there was a lot of turmoil at home. My dad and mum didn’t get along, in fact, to date they don’t.

Why does this matter? Aren’t there too many broken family homes out there? May be, but, I never thought in my wildest dreams of being where I’ve gotten through meticulously planned journey and support from world-class mentors.

Allow me to share my saga.

Where it started: Ahmedabad, India.

I am a regular boy from suburban Ahmedabad, India. Born at a suburb where the city zoo was a stone’s throw and the lion roar was a common place as the day blurred into night. Over the years, my father had us moved to a cheaper rental suburb which is when we relocated to another neighbourhood close to a village with a lake.

The buffalos at this suburb used to circumambulate the lake in the quest to find the rough, undone entrances to the waters. On hot, 50 degrees + summer days, they used to fully submerge under water for refuge from heat and at the time only their heads and horn showed.

Back then, I assumed I’d be a regular guy with a regular life all my life.

Little did I know life had amazing chapters in store for me.
